| Welcome to the discover IDEA CD 2002 |
All individuals serving the needs of children with disabilities need direct access to information about the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), related laws, and recommended implementation strategies. This CD provides you with important knowledge about IDEA and is easy to use for all involved -- policy makers, local administrators, service providers, families, advocates, university faculty and students.
The material on this CD has been reviewed for accuracy and consistency with IDEA '97 by staff at the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.
The groups involved in the IDEA Partnerships believe that collaboration among all parties will lead to the greatest success possible for all children. Together we have worked with several groups to create this CD. It represents our combined effort to provide direct information to you and your collaborators. The new features, based on feedback from users, include IDEA Basics, Information by Topic, Trainer Tips, and a simple search engine. We are available to work with states on customizing this CD to include state-specific regulations and documents. Contact your Regional Resource Center for more information.
Please let us know what further information you would like to have in this CD format. Your input will be considered in developing future editions. You can provide input via the registration page on the Table of Contents.
Our agencies and organizations look forward to working with one another and with you to successfully implement IDEA in a manner that best meets the needs of infants, toddlers and youth with disabilities.
