The Policymaker Partnership (PMP)

The Policymaker Partnership (PMP) operates to increase the capacity of policymakers to act as informed change agents who are focused on improving educational outcomes for students with disabilities. PMP's objectives are to infuse special education issues in all areas of educational decision making; to consider the policy implications of IDEA '97 in the context of general education and school reform; communicate relevant research to policymakers; foster innovative collaboration among policymakers; and disseminate the results of effective collaboration and promising practice. PMP Mini webs on the PMP website provide information from the U.S. Department of Education, The Office of Special Education Programs and many other funded projects. Mini webs present research, related resources, links, documents and organizations related to selected topics including National Education Priorities. A list of Policymaker Partnership Primary, Supporting and Linking Partners is available online at http://ideapolicy.org/pmp_partners.htm

If you are connected to the Internet the italicized links to web pages and e-mail will be active.

Primary Partners Primary Partners represent important stakeholders and provide multiple perspectives. Primary Partners undertake specific tasks to advance policies which are aligned with IDEA '97 principles.
